The Gild Society is a private membership club. Applying doesn't guarantee acceptance, it guarantees you're considered properly. If you're not accepted, your $159 is returned to you in full.
$159 includes your application and your first evening, if accepted. From there, every evening you choose to attend, whether it's Gild Social, Gild Soirée, or Gild Taste, starts at $59.
